Vertical Pogo-style Pins

Sumitomo Electric Industries has developed these designs to compete with conventional "Pogo Pin" contacts. The benefit of this design is lack of mechanical handling. The manufacturing process eliminates 'assembly' of the pin, thus reducing cost. Below is data from the preliminary design. We are working on an improved design utilizing contact walls to improve impedence characteristics.
